Ididit Steering Column Tilt Gm Style Direct Fit Short-Shaft 1967-1969
Ididit GM Style Direct Fit Tilt Steering Column for 1967, 1968 and 1969 Mustangs with Short Shaft Steering Boxes.
Enjoy many miles of smooth cruising when you add the convenience, comfort and reliability of a new steering column to your classic Mustang. Ididit's GM style steering column is offered in steel and aluminum finished versions and comes with a GM upper shaft, a GM 3-7/8" wire plug, self-canceling turn signals, 4-way flashers, knobs and handles and a 3/4"-36 spline lower output shaft. For safety reason, Ford switched over to a collapsible style steering column in 1967. This GM style column is designed to accommodate 1967-1969 Mustangs with short shaft steering boxes built after the switch.
Remove your old column, saving your original under-dash mount as well as the original floor mount. Using one of Ididit's installation kits, install the new steering column in place of your old column. Add an aftermarket wheel of your choice and the gripping surface of the new wheel will be in the same location as the original.
