K&N's 69 Series Typhoon Air Intake System is defined by free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tubing. By replacing your factory air filter and air intake housing with K&N's Typhoon Air Intake, you'll seriously straighten out and improve air flow. The Air Intake System features a low-restriction aluminum intake tube in a chrome-like finish. This durable tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor, the EVAP vent, crankcase vent, and idle bypass lines. The Air Intake also includes K&N's high-flow chrome air filter and heat shield. This installs directly into the original air box location. From there, air is directed through the intake tube into the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The air filter boasts 100,000 miles of operation before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions.

Tech Tip: For 2017 GT Mustangs manufactured after 9/2016, vacuum for the CMCV’s (Charge Motion Control Valves) is no longer picked up from the intake tube. This will require a plug to be used with the unused port/fitting on your new cold air intake tube when installing on all 2017 GT Mustangs built after 9/2016 only. The production date on the vehicle (month/year) is located on the decal in the driver side door jamb.
