The KONI (8245 1404) Red Special Active Rear Shock is a part of the next generation of premium shock absorbers, so you’re getting the newest technology that rivals electronic systems. You will notice a secure and stable feeling no matter how you’re driving in your S550.

KONI’s Frequency Selective Damping Technology (ACTIVE Technology) helps in controlling large body motions and cornering forces, and also smooths expansion joints and rough roads for superior comfort. KONI also added a special valve that is designed to control a parallel oil flow next to the one going through the piston. The Frequency Selective Damping feature closes the parallel oil flow, which then gives a rise in damping force nearly linear to the time the piston is moving in one direction.
