This Mishimoto Hot Side Intercooler Pipe Kit completes their intercooler component lineup for the 2016-2018 Ford Focus RS. This pipe’s innovative design helps cool more than just air intake temperatures. It will increase your RS’s internal volume by 40% over stock with 2.5” inlet and outlet diameters, as well as maintain an average pressure drop of 45%. The cast mid-section retains the use of the factory ducting that directs airflow to the front PTU. A standard cylindrical pipe restricts airflow, which doesn’t help the known problem of overheating drivetrains when your RS is being pushed to its limits.

The shape of this pipe cleanly directs air to the front PTU using that front duct, so airflow isn’t lost like with a conventional pipe design. This pipe kit comes with 5-ply, wire-reinforced silicone to attach to the turbo and intercooler, which provides superior heat resistance and flexibility to accommodate for engine movement. This heat-side pipe can also be installed without removing the lower cross bar. This kit includes all the necessary hardware and is a direct fit requiring no modifications for installation.

Tech Note: When combined with the Mishimoto intercooler, you can see up to a 35% less pressure drop than the stock setup.

Installation Torque Specifications: 27 in-lbs. recommended for the t-bolt and constant tension t-bolt clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-35 in-lbs. Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 in-lbs.
