Big Brake Kits

Bringing your Mustang to a stop quickly and efficiently is a top priority for any build. As you add horsepower, that requires more stopping power. Big brake kits combine high-performance rotors, calipers, and brake pads to deliver a major improvement over your stock brakes.

Most big brake kits feature rotors that are larger than the ones that came stock on your Mustang. Overheated brakes lead to brake fade, which reduces your stopping power. Larger rotors provide better heat dissipation and more brake torque.

Normally, the downside of larger rotors is their weight. But with high-quality aftermarket kits, lightweight materials are used to offset the added size.

With brake systems from Baer, Ford Performance, and Wilwood, you’re sure to find a big brake kit that fits your build.

Keep in mind that you may need larger wheels to accommodate your big brakes. Be sure to check the product details to make sure your new wheels will give you plenty of clearance.
