This Wilwood front disc brake kit has all of the materials you'll need to give your Mustang the ultimate front brake upgrade it deserves. There is a pair of Forged Narrow Superlite 6R calipers that are a unique six-piston composition that helps balance loading for equal pad wear in high heat environments. This configuration creates an extremely efficient thermal barrier that will diminish heat from the pads to the caliper body, seal, and fluid. The cooler temperatures that result help your calipers maintain a long service life and a smaller chance for heat-induced pedal fade.

These calipers merge the vintage big brake style with Wilwood's modern technology to produce huge braking power over a variety of applications in extreme atmospheres. The calipers also add the luxury of radial mounting, which simplifies adaptation and lends two planes of adjustment to correctly align the caliper over the disc. The significant reason for the Forged Narrow Superlite 6R calipers top-level performance is their durability and dynamic body design. It's the result of computer generated solid modeling and FEA stress analysis technology, along with the new design being forged. The frame of each caliper is stress-flow forged from premium grade aluminum alloy billets that renovate the internal grain structure of the metal within the shape of the caliper. This removes any stress or interruption to the internal grain structure, proving the best way to manufacture a strong aluminum caliper body.

Wilwood includes a pair of massive SRP Drilled & Slotted Performance 2-Piece Rotors that are 14 inches in diameter and feature a particularly engineered directional cross drill & face slot pattern. This pattern improves the response of the brakes & pad performance throughout the full range of light-to-heavy braking. The venting and cleaning of the holes & slots will shrink pad glaze along with dispelling gasses & heat that is generated during the pad-to-rotor interface. The holes & slots of the rotors also prevent irregular pad compound build-up that culminates in a smoother engagement and upgraded pedal response in any condition. Each rotor is finished with a black electro coat that protects against rust & corrosion.

The 2-piece 14" rotors are incorporated with big brake series hats that are specially made from premium aluminum alloys for quality strength and attention to minimized weight. These hats have threaded rotor mount holes and produce consistently reliable outcomes even in the most difficult circumstances. The hats also come with a black e-coat finish to help fight against rust & corrosion.
