Power Window Kit With Black Illuminated Switches Mustang 1969-1970

This kit includes new power USA-made regulators featuring AC Delco motors for the front windows, black illuminated switches to mount to the doors, a complete and labeled wiring harness, as well as conduit to protect the wires traveling through the doors. Each regulator is constructed of 1018 cold roll steel with bronze Oilite thrust bearings at all the pivot points, and feature treated gear plates for longer teeth life. The new power window regulators bolt directly into the original mounting holes with little to no modifications and will use the original glass channels.

Originally, the switches mount to the doors, however, you can custom mount them anywhere you'd like. One switch features a double button set up to control both front windows, and the other switch uses a single button for the passenger side front window. The switches are black with white markings and can be illuminated with the correct wiring configuration. With a complete and labeled wiring harness already attached to the switches, installation is as simple as finding a location to mount the switches, running the wires and you're ready to go!

The wiring harness comes with all the wires labeled for correct positioning and is fused to allow operation of the power windows without the engine running. The black wire is the ground and should be attached to clean metal to ensure a proper ground. The red (orange) wire is the 12V hot feed.

Please Note: Original glue-in style door glass found in 1969 and some 1970 Mustangs may be too weak to handle the new power regulators; it is recommended to replace the old glue with new, stronger glue; or convert to 1970 bolt-in style door glass.

Tech Tip: We recommend using the kit with crank handle style switches so you are not left with a hole in your door panels where the factory regulator would come through.
