Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't fit I got these U bolts in the rear end leaf spring kit and they failed to line up with the plates by a quarter of an inch and had to be hammered around the rear end.

What size axle are these u-bolts recommend for? I have a 66 mustang

These would be correct for a 66 mustang.

I got these new U-bolts for my 1966 Mustang 289. These seem too narrow. in order to get them over the axle (I think mine is a nine-inch) I would have to hammer them down. when i trial-fit them on my new shock plate they line up OK

Asked by: timw1953
The 65-66 bolts would be to narrow for a 9 inch, You would need 67 or newer bolt and plates that will fit the 9 inch.
