S650 Mustang GT Premium Digital Cluster Appearance

The functionality of the 2024 Mustang dash between the base and premium trims are exactly the same, but the appearance changes between the two options. For the 2024 Mustang premium model, you'll notice a single curved glass display, rather than the two separate screens found on the base S650. The premium model will also have some extra HVAC and stereo settings due to the upgrades in those systems compared to the base model.

Primary 2024 Mustang Dash Screen Base Modes and Settings

Gauge Cluster

The base gauge cluster on the primary screen of the 2024 Mustang's dash displays fairly standard information found on most analogue dashes. You'll find a temperature gauge, tachometer, speedometer, and gear indicator among a few other displays. The main thing that makes the S650 Mustang's gauge cluster unique is the customization options. In the settings, you can choose from several different style options, including a Fox Body style that's a great retro throwback. You can also customize the individual gauges and displays to match them to your needs and driving preferences.

Drive Modes

The S650 Mustang generation offers several different drive modes, each with their own gauge layout and performance settings. Cycling through the drive settings will display a unique animation and change the look and functionality of the primary dash screen. Sport Mode: In sport mode, the gauge cluster changes to a curved, vertical display for speed and acceleration. Sport mode opens up the exhaust, giving you higher performance potential.

Track Mode/Drag Strip Mode: Both of these modes have an identical gauge layout, displaying a prominent horizontal acceleration gauge. These modes turn off the traction control for higher power output and focus on maintaining acceleration through gear shifts.

Slippery Mode: Slippery mode is a great option for hazardous weather. It softens throttle response allowing you to make precise steering adjustments when the ground is wet or icy.

Custom Mode: This mode displays the customized settings from the my Mustang menu on the secondary screen. The look of this display is linked to the driver profile, so make sure to customize your gauge cluster to fit your driving preferences before selecting this drive mode.

Secondary S650 Mustang Dash Screen Uses and Settings

Home Screen

The home screen on the secondary digital cluster lets you access driver assistance, the owner's manual, saved settings under favorites, and my Mustang. Most of the key features of the S650 will be under the my Mustang section, so you'll probably be spending most of your time in that menu.

Driver Assistance

The driver assistance section of the menu allows you to access the settings for key safety and accessibility features. From this screen, you can turn on and off lane-change notifications, pre-collision detection, exit warnings, blind spot detection, and more.

My Mustang

My Mustang is all about custom settings. From this menu you can adjust the exhaust sound, edit gauge displays, create custom driver profiles, and more. Hit the Mustang button on the console or on the screen to access this mode.

Exhaust: On the right hand navigation you can cycle through exhaust settings for the track or on road. These settings include quiet, regular, sport, and track, with each successive mode offering a louder exhaust sound.

Track Apps: This section of the menu is where you'll find settings designed to maximize performance on the track. There's a line lock option, an acceleration timer, a lap timer, and a brake performance indicator. All of these options are available on both the base model and the premium 2024 models.

Auxiliary Gauges: Opening the auxiliary gauges menu allows you to use the second screen as an additional gauge cluster that is completely customizable. Choose from a variety of gauge display options in up to five locations. Available gauge options include oil pressure, engine temperature, battery voltage, an accelerometer, and many more.

Custom Mode: This mode allows you to set custom driver profiles that personalize settings like drive mode, steering, traction control, and more. It also allows you to set your gauge preferences and visual dash theme, making it easy to switch settings from driver to driver.

My Color: With this option you'll be able to set a primary and a secondary color theme for your Mustang's menus and display screens. You can link color themes to driver profiles as well.

Cluster Theme: Choose from normal, sport, track, calm, and Fox Body cluster themes to display on the primary dash screen. You can also set the gauge cluster to match the drive mode from this menu.

HVAC Controls

The HVAC controls are located in the bottom section of the secondary screen navigation. These allow you to change airflow to the vents, adjust temperature, and see a visual display of which vents are active. This navigation will always be available at the bottom of the screen regardless of the menu you are currently accessing.
