Product Description

Roush Cold Air Intake Kit for all 2015, 2016 and 2017 GT Mustangs.

If you’re looking to add bolt-on horsepower, quickly and reliably, look no further then this all-new Cold Air Intake kit from Roush for your 2015-2017 Mustang GT. Like all Roush Cold air Intake Kits, this kit will install just like a factory component and even retain a performance based OE look and appearance!

Incorporated in this kit from Roush is the air filter with clamp, injection-molded lower air box/tray with installed EPDM foam hood seal, blow molded clean air tubes and all required mounting hardware. This kit will utilize all factory emissions and vacuum lines. Roush continuously uses all factory mounting locations and hardware to deliver a quick and easy installation. The dry air filter that Roush provides is verified to maintain its shape even under high airflow. It is comprised of an inner and outer layer of wire mesh for durability and offers dependable support for the filtration media. The included filter requires no oiling and is easily washable for years of worry-free use.

Tech Tip: For 2017 GT Mustangs manufactured after 9/16, vacuum for the CMCV’s (Charge Motion Control Valves) is no longer picked up from the intake tube. This will require a plug to be used with the unused port/fitting on your new cold air intake tube when installing on all 2017 GT Mustangs built after 9/16 only. The production date on the vehicle (month/year) is located on decal in driver side door jamb.

The all-new Roush Cold Air Intake Kit for the 2015-2017 Mustang GT is a far more efficient air-intake system than the standard factory air box. Cold air induction will allow for hidden potential in horsepower and fuel economy that would otherwise be constrained. A custom tune is NOT required as this Cold Air Intake Kit was engineered and tested specifically for the 2015-2017 Mustang ensuring the performance of the 85mm MAF signal matches the factory settings. As a straight bolt on, with no tune, it’s possible to see gains of 10hp and 8 lb-ft of torque, quite a noticeable increase.

Roush Cold Air Intake Kit GT 2015-2017 is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Choice! Great mod to my 2017 GT. Install was easy. Didn't bother with trying to remove 10mm nut for sound tube. I just unclipped hose from intake, pry off the small retainer clips and tugged the sound tube while twisting it. The rubber base stretches and comes right off the nut with no damage. Had that dead snake off in less than one minute. Saw this trick on YouTube and it works great! Have quicker throttle response and more aggressive sound paired with my installed resonated tru x and magnaflow competition exhaust. Intake air temp is much higher than stock while idling but cools down quicker while cruising I'm very happy with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Intake I definitely noticed the performance increase of this CAI as well as the car is a bit louder combined with my roush exhaust and deleting my resonator and adding the H pipe, this thing is super loud. I will say though, that I capped off the sound tube up high because my car has the performance pack strut tower brace and there was no way to get back there to remove the 1 single 10mmm bolt to remove the sound tube. Directions provided do not account for that so that was a bit of a bummer. I have read that people have removed the brace but I didn't want to do that. Other than that, love the this CAI.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Air Intake Installed with throttle body spacer. Install was smooth until I attempted the removal of the sound tube. what a pain. I was using ramps so no firewall access. Dropped 10mm socket and used standard wrench. About an hour to remove. In the end, great response and power. More like the sport mode response in normal mode. Dinged 1 star for the install hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roush - CAI Good luck getting the 10mm nut removed to take out the sound tube. Once the sound tube has been removed everything else was easy to install and a perfect fit. With the removal of the sound tube there is less noise coming in the cabin and it cleaned up the engine compartment.

Would you recommend the Roush or Steeda CAI? leaning more towards a CAI with the removable MAF Insert. Not going a tune route right now, will be down the road, so trying to prepare for future mods.

Asked by: JB2468
You can't go wrong with either of those choices.

I just purchased this Roush intake form you for my 2015 GT. Will the SCT 7015 X4 Power Flash Programmer work with this programmer? The demo video did not list the Roush intake option.

Asked by: DenNick53
It will work just fine unless you remove the MAF Insert, then you will need a custom tune.

Does the intake void the warranty, or is it once you remove the insert, and get a custom tune?

Asked by: ninglima
Unless the product in question is directly responsible for an issue, your warranty should remain intact. Read up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act for more details.
