Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wires come out. This has been the 3rd pigtail harness I have purchased in the past year. The wires fall out of the back of the harness. Causing the car to die going down the road. The last harness I received did the same thing. I took it apart and had to flare out the wires in the harness itself to get the wires to stay in place. Also added some super glue in just to secure the wires better. I usually have nothing but praise on all Scott Drake parts bc they are usually the best. That's all I buy. But this part needs more attention to design. I don't think I am the only person to have this problem. I wish there was a more reliable design out there. Thanks

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad... The quality is about average. Typical Scott Drake stuff. Auto and manual harnesses are not the same. The description doesn't list which this is for. It looked like the harness in my automatic so I bought it. It has worked fine so far.

We just finished an engine/transmission swap in our 68 mustang. Went from orginal 289 auto with points distributor, to a 390 manual with electronic distributor. Do we still need the pink resistor wire or should we bypass it with the other harness?

Asked by: jvolkmer1
You should check the manufacturers instructions for the distributor. Most likely you will need to by pass the resistor.

Asked by: shaqhah

what does the pink wire connect to?

Asked by: billy68
for your 68 it would connect to the bottom center wire when the black and green wire is on top.    this is the top center wire in the 2nd picture above.
