Standard Monte Carlo bars were first engineered and designed by Carroll Shelby to stop shock tower flex and maintain proper wheel alignment during hard cornering. This extra support helps prevent shock tower stress cracks and provides added rigidity during hard driving. Scott Drake's heavy-duty curved Race Monte Carlo Bar (C5ZZ-16A052-BJS) features a thicker diameter tube and improved fender brackets with premium Heim joints for smoother operation. Scott Drake crafted this bar from premium-quality stainless steel for added durability and also uses stamped square holes in the top of each fender bracket to allow for the use of lower profile carriage bolts. This upgraded Monte Carlo bar will provide your classic pony with the extra support it needs to finish the race first.
