Steeda has designed these Chassis Jacking Rails to be as lightweight as possible, yet durable enough to protect the underside of your rockers. They allow you to jack up your Focus anywhere along the jacking rail without causing damage to the factory pinch welds. These jacking rails are made from the same material used to keep Fox Mustangs from flexing, and feature CAD-designed, laser cut steel brackets and robust 2” x 1” steel tubing. Making the rails even more durable is a wrinkle black powder-coated finish that also helps them keep a low profile appearance and blend in with the underside of your Focus. Included is all the necessary hardware that you will need to bolt the rails on your focus using factory mounting holes, meaning they can also be removed at any time.

When Steeda introduced their jacking rails for the S550 Mustang they were an immediate success because they made jacking up the car very easy without damaging the pinch weld. With the success of the S550 Mustang, Steeda now offers the jacking rails for several different models, including the Focus. These ultra-low profile, ultra-light jacking rails are going to fit your 2013 through 2017 Focus ST along with your 2016 through 2017 Focus RS. Today we'll show you how to install them using this 2014 Focus ST. These jacking rails are made of a heavy duty 1" by 2" steel with a hollow design that won't trap water with a black finish. They're going to install on your Focus ST or Focus RS using factory holes, there's no drilling required making them not permanent. What they do is they line up to the pinch weld on the car making it very easy to jack it up without damaging the pinch weld.

Like I mentioned, these will install in factory holes on your Focus and all this is our hardware for installation is included by Steeda. For this installation need a lift or a jack and jack stands, 3/8" ratchet, 10mm socket, 13mm socket, 15mm socket, 16mm socket and a short extension. The first thing you want to do is get the car up off the ground. Now a drive on lift is going to be ideal. If you don't have that, what you want to do is the factory jack rail location on the pinch weld, be on the outside edge of that and then in the front the factory location won't work, you have to move to the inside here. There's another body weld that will support the car. Once it's jacked up we're going to begin by removing these panels. To remove these panels there's one bolt way up inside here, one on the edge and one in the front. Once the bolts are out there's little clips holding the panel in. You just give it a good tug and it'll pop right off.

When the plastic panel's removed in the back the next thing you're going to do is remove just the four bolts off this front brace. The middle studs can stay, we're just removing the outside bolts on either side. Before you can put the jack rail into place you have to grab this offset stud, put it up through this hole, and sort of get it even in there so it's pulling evenly on the chassis. Now we can put the jacking rail into place. The jacking rail is held into place by two pieces of hardware in the front. One is that offset stud goes here and this hole lines up with the factory brace and the factory hardware. We're just going to leave them loose for now. For the rear what you're going to do is take this flag nut, put it through this hole, then line it up with that factory hole, the supplied hardware, and thread it in. Now go back and tighten everything up starting in the front working our way back.

The last step on this side, we're going to reinstall these panels. This is optional but they fit so no reason not to put them back on. Now you want to repeat the process on the other side. Once both jacking rails are installed now the last step is to reinstall these two bolts on the brace and your installation is finished. The Steeda jacking rails make a nice addition to your ST or RS and they're very easy to install. The nice thing is now once these are installed you can put your jack anywhere along this outside edge and lift the car up. Best of all you can put it in the middle and lift the whole side of the car up with only one placement of the jack. The installation is pretty straightforward, take you around an hour and be back on the road in no time.
