Pair of TMI Tilt Headrests for 2010-2012 GT and GT500 Mustangs.
The factory headrests in 2005 and newer Mustangs are fixed in a forward-leaning position that can be uncomfortable for some drivers. Fortunately, TMI has designed a solution to this ergonomic concern with its tilting headrests.
Features and Benefits:
- Black and Brick Red Vinyl Option
- Custom Black, Blue or White Stitching
- Vinyl Material Construction
- Adjustable Pressure Fit Design
*Cloth is not available.
TMI's headrests have an adjustable tilt that moves back and forth, with the most upright position at less tilt than the factory headrests. Made from vinyl, these headrests are an excellent match in color, grain and stitching for 2010-2012 GT and GT500 Mustangs with the optional Premier Trim, SOHO smooth grain leather upholstery, which has the vertical contrasting stripe in the center of the seat. No tools are required for installation.
Please Note: Does not fit V6 Models or GT Models with the factory Fury heavy grain leather upholstery.

Waylon: Thanks for having me Bill.
Bill: I'm sure that you get this a lot, but what does TMI stand for?
Waylon: TMI was founded in 1982 by four brothers whose last name is Tuccinardi. You get Tuccinardi Manufacturing Incorporated.
Bill: How did you get in to the Mustang market?
Waylon: Originally we started doing Volkswagen interiors, but we quickly saw the market demand for high-quality premium Mustang upholstery and so we have been doing that now for about 25 years.
Bill: Where do you manufacture your products?
Waylon: We manufacture in Corona, California, where we have about 140,000 square feet and nearly 200 employees who do 100% of our manufacturing right here in the U.S.A.
Bill: I hear that you have some new products for us today?
Waylon: I sure do. Do you want to take a look?
Bill: Sounds good. What can you tell me about these headrests we are going to be installing in our 2007 Mustang GT?
Waylon: The original placement of the stock headrest proved to be a bit uncomfortable for some. What we've done is engineered a factory replacement that offers five positions in addition to stock. Starting at stock, you can release and ratchet it down to a varying position that fits, all the way back down to the factory setting.
Bill: What models are these available for?
Waylon: This particular model is for the '05 - '09 V6, GT and Cobra models. We also offer this style of headrest for the 2010 to 2012 Mustangs. All of our headrests are available in factory matching colors and grains.
Bill: We are going to show you how to install this TMI Ratcheting headrest in this 2007 GT we borrowed from one of our sales people. The first step is to tilt your seat all the way forward. You need to tilt it so the headrest can come off the seat. Next you want to reach over to the little push button allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and put it all of the way at the top.
Next step is to release the seat lock itself. You need a safety pin or some sort of a paper clip. It's a tiny hole, slide it in, push against it and your seat will release. You're now ready to install a ratcheting headrest. Just make sure the seat is all the way forward, line the pins up, slide the seat all the way to hear it lock in place then you release the button just like you would for your factory headrest to push it all the way down. Slide the seat back to its normal position. Let's see how nice and straight up and down your headrest is. To adjust it, simply push it, you feel it lock into place as you go forward. Five total adjustment points, push it a little further forward and it will go back in vertical.
