With this American made Total Control Products TCP RCKM214 Manual Rack and Pinion Conversion System applied to your 1967-1969 Mustang with a 1" Steering Shaft and a 351C, 390, 427 or 428 Engine you’ll get the enhanced steering performance you’ve been looking for. Total Control Products designed this high performance rack and pinion to maintain correct steering geometry while providing a positive, direct steering feel. This complete system contains a manual rack and pinion unit, column steering shaft, universal joints and tie rod adapters.

This Total Control Products rack and pinion maximizes ground clearance by replacing the factory crossmember behind the oil pan. The included steel tubing utilized on the rack has a 20% larger diameter than your factory brace. Featuring a design that is equal parts simple and efficient, this TCP rack and pinion offers superior road feel and steering that can’t be matched. Wherever possible this Total Control Products manual rack and pinion reuses factory mounting points as well as a mixture of engine specific mounting brackets and centerlinks to easily fit in your Mustang while simplifying what most would consider a difficult installation process. Once the installation process is complete, the straight steel tubing of the rack replaces the factory crossmember, adding more support and strength over the original tubular crossmember design.
