BBK 1-5/8" Ceramic Coated Unequal Length Shorty Headers for 1986-1993 5.0L Mustangs.

All BBK Shorty Mustang Exhaust headers are manufactured with 1 5/8" CNC mandrel bent tubing for unrestrictive airflow and a one piece laser cut flange for added strength and durability. All BBK Headers are pressure tested to ensure leak free performance.

Each BBK Mustang shorty exhaust header for the 1986-1993 5.0L Ford Mustang has been designed and dyno tested at the BBK headquarters in Southern California to Maxmize performance.

These headers feature BBK's optional high-temp show quality Silver polished ceramic coating.

Can be used on 1979-1985 Mustangs if converting to dual exhaust.

So So quality
Thought I was buying a quality American-made set of headers but when I received the package it was obvious that the box had been previously opened and re-sealed. When I opened the box, the plastic bag containing the bolts, nuts and washers was torn open and missing two of the header bolts; most of that hardware was scattered throughout the box and had scratched the right-side header. Upon further inspection, I found that the welds holding the primary tubes to the header flange were protruding into the tube openings by at least 1/8-inch: I didn't buy headers to close up my exhaust system! Also, the ceramic coating had been accomplished with weld splatter evident over most of the header - the finish was only fair, even in the areas where the weld splatter didn't exist. I believe the right side header was a "second" that found its way into my order.
The driver's side header was a better quality, but the welds still protruded excessively into the primary pipes.

On my 89 GT
They look great! I'm sure they flow much better than stock! The dip-stick mounting tab that connects to the outside header bolt needs cut off, to get the header on.
