Borgeson Power Steering Pump Saginaw Kit 289/302/351W 1965-1970 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Borgeson Saginaw Power Steering Pump The Borgeson Pump was fairly easy to install. The only issue I had was the original V belt was to long. Had to purchase a V belt 1" shorter than the original one.

Can you use the same belt or does it need a longer or shorter one?

Asked by: Stonebuster
For my 68 with a 302  I did need a longer belt. I went and got a belt that is 50 5/8"  and it seems to be the right size

I have a complete kit on my 1968 mustang. Do the mounting bolts on the back of the pump reservoir need to be sealed? I'm getting some fluid leakage out of the mounting holes.

Asked by: Motor31
Usually not, there should be seals between the pump itself and the reservoir.

So the old power steering pump has a bracket that bolts to the water pump are the bolts too long or is there plenty of room to tighten thoes down with out damaging the timing cover or the block?

Asked by: Stonebuster
The upper one is good to just tighten down the bottom one needs some washers behind it

Is the pump itself on this kit the same pump that comes with the pspk1 part ?. I ordered the pspk2 but what I need is the pspk1 and rather than return it I am wondering if I could just use the pump and pulley itself ?

Asked by: Rp68
The pump would be the same but the mounting brackets would be wrong.

Multiple different answers here. Will this work as a stock pump replacement without changing any other equipment to the Borgeson setup? some previous answers say yes some say no which is it?

Asked by: Beefstyr
You can use this power steering pump as a replacement for the stock pump, you will need HW3409 fitting to adapt to the stock pressure line.
