Borgeson Power Steering Pump Saginaw Kit 289/302/351W 1965-1970 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Borgeson Saginaw Power Steering Pump The Borgeson Pump was fairly easy to install. The only issue I had was the original V belt was to long. Had to purchase a V belt 1" shorter than the original one.

What type of fluid does the Borgeson Power Steering Conversion kit use, power steering fluid or transmission fluid. I have seen references to both in some publications.

Asked by: Shadowman
If you are using our kits that include the power steering pump use GM power steering fluid. If you are retaining a stock Ford pump use the specified transmission fluid for your original application.

I am thinking of replacing my stock power steering pump on my 1965 Mustang (289 V8). I am wondering if this Pump is compatible with my stock steering box and hoses. Will I need to replace them?

Asked by: RonW
The pump kit will fit. You will need fitting adapter #925123 to adapt your existing hoses. The pump is set for optimal pressure to work with our power steering conversion box however you can adjust the output pressure with our pressure reducing kit #899001 to best suit the factory system.
