Custom Autosound "Backseat Driver" Subwoofers And Amp Kit Coupe 1965-1968 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice design The system is built very nice and is extremely durable. Plenty of cabling is provided. I am not completely impressed with the amount of bass and sometimes wonder if it is on. This is NOT a high end system, but a nice way to improve the quality of sound in the car without having to build it yourself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Built, good fit Not bad, could use additional instructions. Taking this to a car audio shop made a huge difference in sound - the amp has a lot of adjustments to make, and if you're coming from a Custom Autosound head unit, you need to make sure you have the settings correct for an external sub. It was barely bassey when I installed it, but when I got it all adjusted, it is BOOMING. It will rattle the car. A step by step guide (and video) for installation and more importantly, tuning, particularly with CA head units would be huge.

Is there a way that I could buy the panel without the speakers or amp?

Asked by: SethShep
You would have to contact the manufacturer since we only sell it as a whole kit.

Will there be some sort of option like this for the 65 convertible?  Or, could you point me to your best option?

Asked by: mournblade
This option is unique to coupes - unfortunately, we don't offer one for convertibles.

Would this work with the custom autosound usa-2 radio or would i need to get the usa-1 because it has seperate bass and treble, i need to do the entire sound system in my coupe, guy who had it last ripped it all out

Asked by: alex67coupe
Looking at the USA-2, I think you're good. It has pre-outs for both front and rear amps and bass/treble controls, so it should work without issue.
