Custom Autosound Dash Speaker Dual Voice Coil 1967-1973 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad for what it is Not bad at all. I added this to my 69 coupe so I didn't have to blow my kids ears out sitting in the back seat with 6x9s right behind his ears. I adjusted the fade to put more power the front. As they are a bit quieter than the splines in the back. They sound pretty good. They don't have a whole lot of bass but if you are wanting something to have tunes on while you are cruising it works very well. And the fit was perfect, no hassle at all for installation

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good sound but had to modify to fit Bought this speaker to increase sound on my 67 convertible. Speaker has good sound with a comp USA 230 radio, but was not a direct bolt in. I had to cut the side holes off to position it to fit into the original speaker mounting location. Easy mod if you have a air operated saw, but it is advertised as a direct fit and was not for my car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exact fit and sounds good I purchased this to install in my 67. Be sure to note that it's 7.5" between mounting holes on this speaker. Anyway, it was a very simple installation and has made a huge difference because I was missing the dash speaker before. In addition to being an exact fit, it sounds pretty good too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prefect fit Restoring a 63 Ranchero and wanted right & left sound for new radio. the speaker fit perfect. Had to modify my connections because speaker uses a small and large spade for +- connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits I installed this in my 67 mustang. The speakers fits perfectly. I have not tried it yet as I am still putting the heater/ac back inside. Hope it will sound great.

Product Questions

Will this speaker fit in the original dash mounting spot of a 1967 F250? I am rehabbing a 67 F250 and I want a dual voice cone speaker to mount under / in the dash. If this will fit, do you carry a grill I can use on top of the dash pad?

Asked by: CDKamper
The vendor has not provided any information regarding cross-fitments of this part to any other model then what is listed.

I have a 68 Mustang and I do have the radio bezel but I don't think I have existing door speakers and there are just holes in the back dash where speakers used to be. Would these work for my application? Do I need anything else?

Asked by: dbee8792
This is the link for the door speakers, http://www.cjponyparts.com/ken-harrison-door-speaker-pair-1965-1968/p/SPK09/. You would have to measure the existing rear speaker holes to get the correct size.

What is the dimension between the mounting holes? My '67 has 7.5" between the bolts and I want to confirm that it'll fit before I order another speaker that won't fit...

Asked by: Johndringo
After zero responses, I went ahead and just ordered the speaker. It is in fact 7.5" between mounting holes.

I assume the woofer of the speaker is dual voice coiled. However, are the two little speakers independent for each channel, or are the two little speakers DVC as well?Meaning, is this a DVC 3-way speaker or a DVC woofer with a tweeter for each channel?

Asked by: TonyMuscle
Unfortunately, simply put, we don't know. The manufacturer hasn't provided that specific info on this product and, short of taking it apart to find out, we don't have a way to find out.

Is this a 5x7 speaker? It does not make this clear in the description. Thanks

It is.

Can I cut off the two end mounting tabs which are 7 1/2" apart to make this speaker fit my application.  The other two dimensions 4-5/16" and 4-3/8" look just right for this 5x7" dual voice coil speaker. (3015 dvc) Thanks

Asked by: phwold
If you're not using this speaker for our intended application (1967-1973 Mustangs on the dash), any modifications would be at your discretion. It will be a direct fit on the dash of those Mustangs without the need for any modifications to the speaker itself.
