Dynacorn Driver Side Full Shock Tower Assembly for 1965-1966 Mustangs.

This premium full shock tower assembly is easier and cleaner to install than installing all of the pieces separately. Features the use of the 1-piece fender aprons that do not create a seam on the top of the fender aprons. The top of the fender aprons also feature holes to accept the fender u-nuts.

The inner fender aprons, shock tower, sway bar mount and complete frame rail are pre-welded together. Bumper bracket nuts and hood hinge nuts are already attached to the frame rails and fender aprons. Headlight inner panel brackets are also attached to the outside of the front fender aprons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fit nice shock tower and frame rail on drivers side were rusted, decided to give this unit a try, fit perfectly on my 65 convertible. I also was able to replace and install a 1 piece torque box at the same time. did need to do some minor altercations to torque box, but turned out great.

I am interested in this whole frame rail piece but I am concerned about the vin number on existing piece. does it need to be there or do you just cut from old and weld on new? or just let it go because i know the other vin locations.

You would cut the vin out of the old apron and weld to the new one.

I installed this unit which purchased from Cj. Your video says power steering assist cyl inserts are installed in assembly. Mine did not have this. What should I do?

It only said that the holes are pre-drilled and threaded for the power steering slave cylinder. Inserts are not included.

Is the strut/sway bar mount in the correct location for a 1966? If I buy just the rail it needs to be moved.

By Bill Tumas: We're here with Dynacorn's complete frame rail shock tower and apron assembly for your '64 through '66 Mustang Coupe, Convertible, or Fastback. One piece assembly is a great choice if you're looking to replace all the structural sheet metal on the front of your Mustang. It's going to include a complete frame rail, both aprons, as well as a complete shock tower.

Complete assembly comes pre-drilled and ready to install, threaded nuts for your power steering slave cylinder, pre- drilled holes for your steering box, threaded nut for your cross member, lower control arm mount, and a bracket for your strut bar and your sway bar. Your front apron has all of the correct stamping, pre-drilled holes for your fender mounting hardware, your correct wiring harness hole, as well as a correct hole for your fuel line.

The shock tower has all of the correct cutouts for your shock mounting hardware, correct holes for your upper control arm mount, as well as pre-drilled holes for your motor mounts. The rear apron has the pre-threaded holes for your hood hinges, mounting holes for your brake distribution block, hole in the tower for your brake line, and pre-threaded holes for your clutch linkage.

The outside of the assembly is going to include your fender mounting bracket, pre-threaded holes for your outer bumper bracket, the outer shock tower cover with the bumper, which also includes mounting hardware, your brake hose mounting bracket with hardware, as well as the extension piece to go from your apron to your cowl.
