Mustang Constant Voltage Regulator (1967-1968) Installation Instructions
2. To begin installing the new constant voltage regulator, remove the instrument cluster by removing five screws and the wiring harness plugs.
4. Note the location and colors of the wiring before removing the old regulator. The wiring locations must match on the new regulator. For the
Scott Drake regulator, the “J1” (male) terminal is the 12 VDC supply and the “J3” (female) terminal is the regulated output terminal.
5. Remove the wiring and the 11/32” retaining nut from the original regulator and replace it with the new regulator, then connect all the wiring.
