Pretty but problematic
They looked good in the packaging. I agree that the satin finish looks nice with the brushed aluminum of the deluxe (not a perfect match but fairly complimentary). Unfortunately, my love affair with these ended as soon as I tried to use them. The included screws are course-thread and do not match the fine-thread pitch of the original. This wouldn't be a problem but the screw heads are not a standard pan-head, they're a sort of inset bevel so replacements might be difficult. I even ordered a new door-handle shaft (also from Scott Drake) and the screws don't fit it either. You'd think that a manufacturer would be able to make matching parts that thread into each other. So I knocked points off for the specialty screws that are wrong, moved on to installing the window crank and quickly hit the second problem. The window crank shaft hole on the original seems to be deeper then the hole on these. As a result, where my original window cranks fit flush with the door panel, these stick out about 3/16th of an inch. Combine that with the fact that the smaller of the 2 sizes of plastic washer that goes behind the crank was still larger then the window crank you you get something that's really goofy looking. My window-crank shaft is not perfectly solid either but given that the older handle was just about flush to the door panel it wasn't at all noticable. With these on, the whole thing wobbles when trying to use the window.

I did give them more then one star because they do look nice, I just wish they were made to fit closer to original tolerances and it doesn't seem like too much to ask a manufacturer to screw their own mating parts together. I may go to the hardware store and see if I can find some screws that will work but for now, I've taken them off.

Awesome
these handles are awesome. I prefer the satin for the interior to go along with the brushed finish of the deluxe interior. high quality, hefty, very solid.
