Please Note: Ford designed the 2015 Focus ST with four exhaust hangers but only added three on the factory exhaust system. All aftermarket exhaust systems are built to use that fourth exhaust hanger. CJ Pony Parts recommends the purchase of COBB¹s Polyurethane Exhaust Hanger Kit (591001).

The goal of track edition exhaust to maximum flow. So you do that, you'll get some volume to go along with it. This system is made of the same 304 stainless steel as the other systems, featuring three inch pipes with mandrel bends. Instead of a muffler, it has a resonator in the front and a muffler lead section in the back. And again, it is available with your choice of two different four inch double wall tips. A chrome version or a diamond black.
For this installation, you'll need a lift or a jack and jack stands, 3/8" ratchet, 12 mm socket, 14 mm socket, 15 mm socket, T-40 Torx bit, 14 mm wrench, exhaust hanger removal tool, sawzall, and safety glasses.
Obviously, this car already had an aftermarket exhaust. So we removed it prior to the installation. But to do so on your ST, what you're going to do is remove the cross member here, you're going to cut the pipe right here in front of the rear axle, then separate the back and the front, and remove it from the car.
We're going to start by installing the front pipe. This is large and kind of heavy, so an extra set of hands will definitely help. We're going to reuse the factory gasket and factory hardware. Line up one side. Okay, now you want to support the pipe and we'll tighten down the hardware. Now, we're going to tighten them down.
And we move on to the mid pipe. We're going to start by putting the clamp up here. Make sure you orientate it so you can actually get to the nut. And feed this through. We'll just snug this clamp down for now and adjust it later.
Okay, now it's time for the tail pipe assembly. Put the clamp on first. Now we'll tighten up the clamps. Okay, now finally, we can install the tips. And last step now, reinstall the cross bar.
Alright, let see how the AWE tuning track edition sounds.
I mentioned before, the track edition's designed for flow. Straight through as possible. Get the exhaust out. Make as much power as you can. That kind of exhaust, it's going to be on the louder side, but honestly, it's actually very livable. And you put in six or cruise now around 2,000 RPM, which is kind of the drone zone, and you can really hear it a little more with the touring system, you know it's back there. But it doesn't drone. You don't have that reverberating noise that drives you crazy after a while. It's perfectly livable on the highway.
The AWE touring track edition was designed for a straight through style and it definitely does just that. Is it on the louder side? Sure. Absolutely. But it's definitely livable, doesn't have any drone and looks great on the care as well. The installation's pretty straightforward. About two hours. Be back on the road in no time.
