CJ Classics Clutch Equalizer Bar Bushing Kit for 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 Mustangs with a 6-Cylinder Engine, and 260, 289, and 302 Small Block V8.
Are you missing shifts? Sloppy clutch linkage? Clutch linkage parts are wear items and will result in failed shifts once worn. This kit replaces the small parts that mount the equalizer bar between the frame and engine. Purchase this kit whenever rebuilding the clutch linkage or when replacing the equalizer bar.
This Kit includes:
- One clutch equalizer bar mounting stud
- One washer
- Two felt washers
- Two nylon ball bushings
- Two c-clips
The mounting stud mounts the equalizer bar to the engine and allows the bar to pivot when the clutch is engaged. An included washer is used on the threaded side of the equalizer bar mounting stud.
First, the felt washers slide on the equalizer bar mounts on both the engine side and frame side. Next, the two nylon ball bushings will be installed on both brackets. The bushings provide pivot points for the equalizer bar and protect the brackets and equalizer bar from metal to metal contact. Both the felt washers and nylon ball bushings are held on with the two included c-clips.
All of the items in this kit will allow you to install the equalizer bar on the engine side and frame side equalizer bar brackets. After the installation of this Clutch Equalizer Bar Bushing Kit, you'll experience a much firmer clutch pedal that won't hinder shifts.
Please Note: These bushings will not work with the 351W or Hi-Po Small Block.
