This conversion kit comes with a superior Fuel Tank Sending Unit that is specific for the 22-gallon fuel tank allowing for accurate fuel level gauge operation. The Fuel Tank Sending Unit features a 3/8" outlet tube and includes a plastic float, O-ring gasket, resistor, mounting plate and filter.

Your 1965 or 1966 Mustang's original filler neck will no longer work with the new 22-gallon tank, which is why the conversion kit includes a custom Fuel Filler Pipe, designed to be a direct bolt-on replacement that lines up perfectly with the neck on the 1970 Mustang's 22-gallon fuel tank. The brand new, high-quality Fuel Filler Pipe is made of thicker steel and is crafted with the correct notch for the gas cap seal to let air in and is designed so that the gas cap fits tight.
