The F-150 Raptor is an absolute monster from the factory but the stock exhaust is a bit quiet and restrictive. So today we're going to be installing this Corsa cat-back exhaust on our 2017 F-150 Raptor. This Corsa cat-back exhaust is designed to be an easy direct fit replacement for the factory exhaust. It's made of high quality mandrel bent 3/4 stainless steel tubing with a high flow muffler and gets finished off with a pair of five inch satin polished tips for a custom look. So today we're going to install it on our 2017 F-150 Raptor.
Tools you'll need for this installation: a lift or a jack and jack stands, 10 millimeter socket, 3/8 ratchet, 15 millimeter socket, 1/2 inch ratchet, 10 millimeter wrench, and you might need a hammer.
To install this Corsa cat-back exhaust, we have to remove the muffler and tailpipes. We're going to start off with the muffler. To remove the tailpipes, you need to remove the brackets that secure it by removing the two 10 millimeter bolts. Remove the bracket on the other side. Then remove this bracket for each tailpipe and the tailpipes can be removed.
The factory muffler can now be removed. This sleeve clamp off the factory muffler needs to be removed. In order to remove it, you need to pry up on this metal tab right here with a Flathead screwdriver and slide it off. Okay we have the factory system completely removed, now we can install our new Corsa muffler. To install this muffler, we're going to slide it into these front pipes on the resonator and this hanger. The hanger back here we're going to have to remove to slide it onto the muffler.
Slide the sleeve clamp into place, remove the bolt holding on this hanger, slide it out, slide it on the exhaust and reinstall it. Slide a clamp over each outlet on the muffler. Install the passenger side outlet pipe. Then the driver's side outlet pipe. Take the hanger from the passenger side tailpipe and install it onto the Corsa pipe. And you can install your hardware to secure it. Remove the hanger from the driver's side tailpipe and install it onto the Corsa pipe. Then install your hardware on the bracket like you did for the other side.
Finally, install your tailpipes onto the over axle pipes with the provided clamps. Then don't forget to install the bracket on the very end. Install your bracket at the end of the tailpipe with the hardware. Once you get the bracket on, tighten down the hardware. Do the same thing for the other tailpipe then you can go back and tighten all your clamps. Okay we have the exhaust fully assembled now, we're going to come back up front tighten all the clamps and work our way back. Finally, you can install your tips. Now our installation is finished.
All right let's hear how it sounds. Okay we got our Corsa cat-back exhaust installed. It looks and sounds a whole lot better than the factory exhaust and it's actually a lot easier to install this cat-back then it is to remove the factory one. Installation should probably take you about an hour 45 to two hours and before you know it, you'll be heading off road.
