The F-150 Raptor's an amazing truck right from the factory but it's a bit too quiet, so today on CJ Off-Road we're going to make it sound a whole lot better.

The factory exhaust tips on the F-150 Raptor look really good, but it's a bit too quiet. So today we're going to be installing this Corsa Muffler Upgrade on our 2017 Raptor to make it sound awesome while keeping the factory tips. This Corsa Muffler Upgrade is designed to be a direct fit replacement for the factory muffler. It's made of high quality 3" to 4" stainless steel and that flows better than a factory muffler and gives the truck a nice aggressive tail without getting rid of those nice factory tips. So today we're going to install it on our 2017 F-150 Raptor.

Tools you'll need for this installation: A lift or a jack and jack stands, 10mm socket, 3/8" ratchet, 15mm socket, 1/2" ratchet, 10mm wrench, and you might need a hammer.

To install this Corsa Muffler Upgrade, what we're going to do is completely remove the factory muffler and tailpipes. It all needs to come off to put the muffler on, but this front section can still remain on. To remove the tailpipes, you need to remove the brackets that secure it by removing the two 10mm bolts. Remove the bracket on the other side. Then remove this bracket for each tailpipe and the tailpipes can be removed. The factory muffler can now be removed. This sleeve clamp on the factory muffler needs to be removed. In order to remove it, you need to pry up on this metal tab right here with a flathead screwdriver then slide it off. Reinstall the factory sleeve clamp. Now we can install our new Corsa Muffler.

Line it up with the hanger. Get it into the pipes. I'm just going to give it a couple of taps with a hammer to make sure it seats properly. Remove the rear bracket from the muffler. Slide the hanger over the muffler. And then reinstall it. Place the provided clamps over the rear of the muffler. Then install your extension pipes. They are side specific. This one is for the passenger rear. And now the tailpipes can finally be installed. Install two more clamps. Then twist and finagle your tailpipes into place. Once you get the tailpipes installed, you can install all your brackets. Once you get all these brackets installed, you can repeat the process for the other tailpipe.

Both tailpipes are in, the exhaust is fully assembled now. Now we're just going start from here, tighten all the clamps and work our way back. And our installation is finished. All right. Let's hear what it sounds like. Okay. We got our Corsa upgraded muffler installed on our Raptor. It's definitely a lot more aggressive and a lot louder than the factory exhaust. But overall it sounds really good. Installation's not too bad either. It's probably going to take you about two hours and before you know it, you'll be heading off road.
