Today we're going to take a look at a product that many of us overlook when shopping for Mustang parts, a premium car cover from Coverking. If you're like me, you probably have hundreds of dollars' worth of cleaning supplies in your garage and don't mind giving up a weekend to clean up your car, only to throw a cheap parts store car cover on it. Your Mustang deserves better and that's where Coverking's Satin Stretch product comes in.
Coverking has been producing high quality car covers for over 25 years. They're one of the first in the industry to use CAD drawings to get the ultimate fitment for your car. This is something that's been unheard of in the industry and allows you to get the best fitment in the business. One thing that truly sets the Coverking covers apart is the use of their materials. Their seams are all hidden and they use as few as possible, using much larger panels for less chance of anything ever coming apart. There are elastic bands on both the front and the back of the cover to keep a tight to your vehicle. The material has Lycra, which allows it to stretch over the contours of the car. There are cutouts for your mirrors and also a cutout with a grommet for your antenna. Coverking even throws in an extra grommet in case you ever lose the original one. Even with a cover on it, the Lycra forms such a tight fit to the body that you can easily identify this as one of our 2013 Mustangs.
The Satin Stretch material has plenty of give, so aftermarket spoilers will not be a problem. Because it wraps underneath the bottom of the bumper cover, you want to make sure your exhaust is cool before you put the cover on, or you could damage it. The statin stretch material is extremely soft on the outside. If you flip up the elastic edge, you'll see a fleece lined inner that's even softer to be very protective on your paint, won't do any damage, and also will not stick to any convertible top material. If you chose to go with a black or white cover, you have a choice of grey stripes.
