Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but maybe TOO good This plenum is made of thick plastic which is definitely better than the cardboard original. That's a good thing except if you try to attach it to the blower outlet, whether original or repro, it may be TOO thick and not flex enough to allow it to slide on easily. I bought the repro heater box and the outlet was too large for the plenum. I tried it on my original broken box heater outlet and it still wouldn't flex enough to slide on without some modification on one part or the other. I wound up cutting slits in the blower outlet to get this plenum to fit. Not really the plenum's fault but making it a bit more flexible would help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy install, looks great, works well Replaced my cardboard plenum because it ripped after it got wet from leaking anti-freeze. I decided to paint it to match the rest of the original interior, dark red metallic. Purists will shake their heads, but the two shades of black breaking up the visual continuity of red carpet to red dash (metal and padded) just bothered me. Let us face it: Ford got cheap some times, and this is one area they tried to squeeze the last dime from production. Anyway, I'll know soon enough how well it all fares when it gets really cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, seemingly insignificant part -- NOT! I was desperate to restore heat to my beloved '66 convertible, with cooler days coming. I ordered the heater core and set about getting the hot air flowing. Then, I saw the existing heater plenum - cardboard! It was ratty, ripped, and almost non-functional. If you are restoring your heating system, BUY THIS. It's a cinch to install (much easier while you have the heater box out...I found out the hard way) and the flaps that control defrost and heat function much better within the rigid ABS frame. DO IT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice upgrade had original cardboard-ish one that was beat up BAD. Replacement is plastic so more firm to work with and fit nicely. Overall, I'm happy with the replacement, especially given the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent fit My heater plenum was broke where cable was located. New one is better material (plastic) unlike the cardboard type of material original is made from.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heater Plenum Great replacement for the OEM Plenum by far. Have thought of drilling some holes on the end to let air flow towards my feet also not just the seat.
