The carburetor on your Mustang is a part that you rely upon to work. Without it, your Mustang isn't going anywhere. That's why you want to make sure you get a high quality part when you replace or upgrade your carburetor, and no carburetor is going to have higher quality than the products from Holley. With more than a century of experience, and dozens of products available from CJ Pony Parts, you know you're getting the best.
Two brothers from near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania started Holley way back in the late 1800s, as they tried to learn how to build a one-cylinder engine and other motor parts, eventually building a car on their own. The Holley Motor Company became official in 1903 when Henry Ford persuaded the brothers to enter the carburetor business and supply his growing automobile business with the fuel system parts they needed. Today, Holley remains one of the four part suppliers who are still selling to Ford after all these years. Holley's business grew for the next several decades as they continued to supply carburetors for virtually anything with a motor, including being the supplier of nearly half of all the carbs used throughout World War II.
After the war, Holley continued to grow, supplying manufacturers with carbs for the car-hungry war vets and keeping repair shops stocked with repair parts. In the 1950s, Holley launched the modular 4-barrel carb, close to the 4-barrel design still in use today. Holley continued to dominate throughout the 1960s and 1970s in the muscle car era and in various racing leagues. Holley also expanded to create additional parts for fuel systems, including fuel pumps and, as they transitioned into the 1980s, any other part of the fuel system, including fuel injectors. New product introductions for Holley continued into the 1990s, along with revisions of existing products for better performance and acquisitions of new product lines in order to expand their presence in the market.
