This roll bar offers standard-style door bars to effectively increase side-impact safety, taking the necessary precautions against the unthinkable. The standard door bars are built for easy initial installation without welding but are not intended for removal. This roll bar is constructed from the highest quality materials and complete with top-tier hardware ensuring security after installation. The DOM tube’s 1-3/4-inch diameter is met with a 0.134-inch wall to create a much stronger alternative to the commonly used 0.120-inch wall ERW seamed tubing. Contour-hugging 6-inch x 6-inch mounting pads are equipped with backup plates to sandwich the unibody for a safe and strong mounting process that won’t shake loose.

Each piece of hardware is Grade 5 or higher to keep rust and elemental damage entirely at bay. Designed for the ideal stock Mustang interior fitment, your new bar features the correct measurements and specifications along with reinforcement plates for your convertible chassis. These reinforcements are welded in behind the rear seat for a good structural attachment point to keep the rear braces securely anchored. During installation, your convertible top can be lowered and stowed for an easy access point and interior protection while the welding process is completed. The roll bar easily bolts into its final position and can be removed from the car as a complete unit. However, it’s important to note that the rear supports will need to be welded to the main hoop. This bar is constructed of uncoated bare steel, allowing you to color match to the rest of your upgraded interior.

Tech Tip: Roll bars should have padding wherever any part of an occupant's body may come into contact with the steel tubing. This includes hands, feet, arms, and legs, not just the occupants' heads.

Please Note: The Maximum Motorsports Roll Bar for Mustang convertibles does require welding to the floor pan. Someone who is a qualified "expert welder" is required for the installation of a convertible roll bar.
