This hydraulic kit will provide an easy pedal effort when shifting through the gears and makes cruising the town or fairgrounds a absolute dream. Another additional benefit when installing this McLeod hydraulic kit is the self-adjusting bearing feature, no more adjusting the clutch every 4-6 months. The hydraulic kit will allow the bearing to self-adjust when the disc wears throughout its life cycle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very bad quality! I bought this hydraulic clutch kit 2 years ago, I installed it on the car and about 3-4 months later I started to loose fluid. It got worst and worst until now if I keep the clutch pedal to the floor in 5-10 seconds it starts engage the clutch (loosing pressure). I just looked underneath and BOTH the thrust bearings AND the master cylinder are leaking around the "O" ring after less than 3000 miles! Because of the DOT 3 fluid leak, the paint was stripped from the frame rail underneath the master cylinder and the whole bottom of the bell housing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hydraulic Conversion kit for TKO- 5 speed I was having trouble finding the correct TOB/clutch fork geometry with the mechanical OEM setup on my 65 Mustang. I'm using a Lakewood bellhousing, TKO Tremec 5 spd. 10.5" McLeod clutch/pressure plate The rating on difficulty is high, and I agree, but well worth the effort. McLeod Tech was very helpful answering my questions. They even directed me to the person the designed the product for assistance. I would recommend this kit for anyone having trouble with TOB/clutch fork geometry.

Is there a recommended brake booster that will fit with this kit. The one fitted to my 65 mustang gets in the way. Thanks

This kit requires more than 4" of space between the bellhousing and clutch pressure plate springs, if you have that it should work.

I have a 1966 Mustang GT Fastback with Borg Warner T5 trans, a BDS dual master cylinder w/~6" booster, a Flaming River tilt column, will this conversion fit on the firewall?

You should be fine, we have done something very similar with our Project 50/30 '65 Fastback. The only issue that may occur is clearance around the master cylinder or brake booster. You may have to relocate the reservoir by offsetting it slightly or mounting it higher on the firewall.
