Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bring Your Fox or SN95 into the 21st Century! I kept on snapping clutch cables on my 96 GT with a heavy duty clutch, as in once per 3k miles. I didn't want to waste a perfectly fine clutch with only 10k miles (one of the previous owners put in a Spec Stage 3+, which is questionable judgement since this is not a drag car). This was cheaper than the labor involved to replace the clutch with an OEM grade one, and I ditched the old cable linkage for a smoother hydraulic setup. The pedal effort is significantly reduced, making it much easier to drive around town. The install wasn't too complicated. The thing that took the longest time was figuring out where to mount the fluid reservoir.

My 98 Cobra has a really stiff pedal, thinking about trying a new cable first. No fun to drive. Previous owner installed clutch kit, not sure about stage. Will this fit my 98 Cobra ?? I have lowered my clutch pedal, how much "stroke" does this need ??

This will not work on your application.

Will this fit a 2001 Cobra? Or is there clearance issues between the master cylinder and the cylinder head?

This will not fit your application because of clearance issues.

What is the difference between the kit with the slave cylinder and the throughout bearing kit performance wise

Asked by: Leo13
There really is no performance difference. The external slave cylinder is more of a direct replacement for a cable operated clutch and the slip on slave is more for transmission conversions.
