The Monte Carlo bar was developed by Carroll Shelby to stop shock tower flex and maintain proper wheel alignment during hard cornering. This extra support also helps prevent shock tower stress cracks, a notorious problem for first-generation Mustangs when driven hard. This upgraded support bar is crafted from high-quality metal and comes with a beautiful black metallic finish to add some extra class to your engine bay. For 1965-1966 convertibles, you must remove the factory tubular engine compartment bracing. No other modifications are necessary when installing this Monte Carlo bar.
