Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but product sticker was unnecessary. The issue I had was CJ PonyParts put a relatively big sticker on the top part and it's a hassle trying to come off. Now I have to figure out a way to remove the sticker off the brace. More work on my part. The product itself is good and I like it. Just hope they read this and slap that sticker on the bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very sturdy I bought this thinking it may be a cheap thin version of an export brace, but I was pleased with the quality. Installed very easy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit perfectly. Got this yesterday and installed it this morning with my wife's help. We needed to pry the holes on the firewall slightly to get the bolts in. This wasn't a hard chore only one bolt was a little difficult. The large sticker took no time at all to remove (used a hair dryer). Metal was twice as thick as the factory braces. Great product, it made an improvement in the soft steering. I replaced every suspension component and this was an improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snug fit great part I bought this for my ‘67 Cougar. Didn’t slip right on but you have to consider the years of tension on the body with out it. With that being said, a little pressure in the right places and a smack with my hammer it was on in no time. Looks very clean it’s thicker than the two piece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from solid, nice finish good news , fit without jacking, twisting body, my car is straight not so good, driver side hole too close to back edge of brace. other three were fine. had to elongate hole slightly, not a big deal but be prepared. sticker? peel back slowly, allow glue to release as you pull.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fit perfect For the price I expected a bad knock off with poor fitment. I was happily surprised when I opened the box. Thicker material than my old stock two price braces, fit and finish was also very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid piece Although I haven't had a chance to install this part yet it seems to be a good, solid stamping. It looks like an accurate reproduction. Moreover, I was pleased with CJ Pony Parts shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely stronger than the standard supports. I added power brakes to my '66 Mustang and, rather than cut down the standard export braces, I decided to install a one piece brace. Takes some effort to install but is a definite upgrade.

Good morning/afternoon. What mounting hardware do I need for this?

Asked by: easy day
We offer several different hardware kits. Type "export brace hardware" in the search bar at the top of the web page.

Does this mount over the existing mounts off the shock tower? If not what is usually done with existing mounts? Cut and grind them off?

Asked by: Islandtime326
If you have the brace that is welded to the chock tower than you can cut them off or leave them.
