QA1 Front Crossmember Retrofit Kit Chevrolet C10 1973-1987

If your C10 already runs a QA1 Coil-Over Conversion Kit, this Front Crossmember Retrofit Kit takes it one step further. This bolt-in upgrade sheds 70 lbs of weight while adding powered rack-and-pinion steering and two additional inches of drop range (up to 8" total). This improves drivability and handling while also adding to that aggressive stance.

The powered rack-and-pinion provides tight and responsive steering and is much nicer when parking. The tubular design turns the under-cab rails into the truck's lowest point. The revised lower shock mounts add 2" of clearance, while the upper shock mounts increase suspension travel for great ride and performance, even when lowered. Modular engine mounts (sold separately) allow you to reuse your existing transmission mount and driveshaft. Kits are available for small-block Chevy, big-block Chevy, and LS applications. DIY mounts are also available if you want to customize the location of your engine.

Please Note:
- This kit does not include shocks, springs, or control arms – these are included in QA1 coil-over systems. Additional kits are available with these included.
- Total drop range depends on wheel/tire fitment
- Will require you to trim inner fenders
- Steering shaft is not included
- Engine mounts (not included) are year-range specific to maintain OE bell housing location
- Optimized bump steer settings require at least 18” wheels
 Requires use of 1973-1987 C10 spindles
- May require different headers and oil pan (stock SBC & BBC pans fit)
- May require new power steering hoses depending on fittings, pump, and engine placement
