CJ Classics MaxCore Performance 2-Row Aluminum 24" Radiator for 1968-1969 V8 Mustangs with A/C.
When things start to get hot under the hood of your 1968-1969 V8 Mustang, you are going to want to make sure it is being cooled properly. That is why CJ Classics designed this OE-Style Type 338 Performance Aluminum 24" 2-Row 250 MaxCore Radiator! Available at CJ Pony Parts, the aluminum design and construction of the MaxCore radiator cools your engine down more efficiently than the old copper and brass styled radiators.
Features and Benefits:
- Direct OE-Style Fitment
- Billet Filler Neck
- Aluminum Construction
- 2-Rows of 1-1/4” Tubes
- Integrated Transmission cooler for Automatic Transmissions
- OEM Style Brass Petcock for Easy Draining
This MaxCore radiator from CJ Classics has been constructed from aluminum using two-rows of 1-1/4” wide tubing that efficiently cools your 289, 302 or 351 V8. The top and bottom tanks are styled after the tanks of the original V8 radiator on your classic Mustang and feature an OEM style brass petcock that allows for easier draining of the coolant.
CJ Classics even includes an integrated transmission cooler on the MaxCore radiator for Mustangs with an automatic transmission. With no fabrication or additional drilling needed, this radiator will simply mount in the same location as your old radiator for an OE-style fitment.
The idea of creating a radiator from aluminum was based on using more tubes that were wider, and lowering the height of the fins. This would eliminate dead space between the tubes. The standard aluminum radiator tube width is 1”, so a typical 2-row aluminum radiator has a 2” tube-to-fin contact area per row.
Compared to the typical 4-row copper radiators which had a 1.7” tube-to-fin contact area. So CJ Classics decided to kick it up a notch by making the tubes in their 2-row MaxCore radiator 1-1/4” wide creating a 2-1/2” tube-to-fin contact area. Greatly exceeding the performance of a copper 4-row design.
