Product Description

CJ Classics OE-Style Type 340 Performance Aluminum 2-Row MaxCore Radiator for all 1967 Mustangs and non-Air Condition Equipped 1968-1969 Mustangs with a 289, 302, or 351 V8 Engine.

Is the engine in your classic 1967-1969 Mustang just not staying cool enough? Well then it might be time for an upgrade. Take a look at this CJ Classics OE-Style Type 340 Performance Aluminum 2-Row MaxCore Radiator. The aluminum construction and design of this radiator cools more efficiently than the old copper brass style radiators that came in Mustangs from the factory.

Features and Benefits:
- Aluminum Construction
- Direct-Fit OE Style
- Billet Filler Neck
- Integrated Transmission cooler for Automatic Transmissions
- OEM Style Brass Petcock for Easy Draining
- 2-Rows of 1-1/4” Tubes

CJ Classics constructs their MaxCore radiators from aluminum with two rows of 1-1/4” wide tubes that provide efficient cooling for your small block V8. The upper and lower tanks of the radiator are styled after the original tanks and feature an OEM style brass petcock for easy draining. An integrated transmission cooler is also included with the radiator for Mustangs with an automatic transmission. This MaxCore radiator uses the factory mounting points for installation and does not require any drilling or fabrication to fit

The idea of creating a radiator from aluminum was based on using more tubes that were wider, and lowering the height of the fins. This would eliminate dead space between the tubes. The standard aluminum radiator tube width is 1”, so a typical 2-row aluminum radiator has a 2” tube-to-fin contact area per row. Compared to the typical 4-row copper radiators which had a 1.7” tube-to-fin contact area. So CJ Classics decided to kick it up a notch by making the tubes in their 2-row MaxCore radiator 1-1/4” wide creating a 2-1/2” tube-to-fin contact area. Greatly exceeding the performance of a copper 4-row design.
