I rebuilt my heater box with the seal kit for my 65 coupe and replaced the unit. Fit right in and works like a charm. So glad to have my heater working again!
Im glad that I spent the few extra dollars on this quality heater core for my 64 1/2 mustang. Its a sturdy core that should last for many years.
I am rebuilding (not restoring) a 64.5 coupe. this is close enough to original and a fair price.
Nice original type piece. I decided on this design over the aluminum because it fits like original. I just wish I would have waited a week to get it on sale.
When I first rebuilt the heat system, I used the aluminium replacement core. Was not able to use the end caps with it and it ruptured after only 3 months of use. Bought this one and it fit perfectly. Used the end caps and its been 3 months and no leaks! haha
Replaced the long ago blown and bypassed heater core in my 66 coupe (289 no A/C) with this one. It is identical to the original, a perfect fit, and seems to be of high quality. I suggest replacing the hoses as well since you have to drain the cooling system anyway. Mine required about 7 feet of 5/8 inch heater hose.
