Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the original. Needed to replace a leaky old core. The brass is just like the OEM version. It would be better if the manufacturer and the sellers of this part did not duplicate the original, but made the inlet and outlet pipes two inches longer so that the hoses could be attached in the engine compartment where they would be more accessible, rather than inside behind the glove box where it is near impossible to reach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Perfectly, Works Perfectly. I Needed to Replaced My Entire Heater Unit on My 64.5 Coupe....along with Buying this Heater Core, I Also Bought New Defroster Ducts, Heat Plenum, Heater Box Assembly, and Heater Hoses. This Heater Core Fits Perfectly in the New Heater Box, as I Took Pictures as I was Removing the Old Parts, So I Could Make Sure that I was Re-Installing All the New Parts Correctly.....the Entire Install Went off Without an Hitch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heater core I was happy to find the brass and copper heater core. The original 1966 Mustang part would not be aluminum. Fit perfectly...just like the original but new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the one you want-like OEM! This is like the one it replaced. Brass and copper. Heavy duty. Previous brass/copper one lasted 32 years before it leaked at one of the hose connections. Probably could’ve braised the old one but not my thing. Don’t cheap out on this part, unless you want to be taking this all out again in a couple years or less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit I bought the copper heater core month ago. Prior to this one, I bought aluminum one. That one was a BAD fit. End pads didn’t fit all the way on and tried to trim it which had no affect. Bought the copper one, end pads fit perfect and core fit right into heater box!!!! No trimming needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty much identical to the original I was rebuilding my heater box so I decided to replace the original core, even though it was not leaking. the solder joints on the original unit were actually cleaner than the new one but hopefully the new one will last as long as the original did.

I am looking for replacement heater core for my 64 1/2 mustang. I see replacement core for 65/67 is 8"x6"x2". My old core is 8"x6"x2.5". This means new core is too loose in the hter box. Can anyone explain the 1/2" difference? Can I get 2.5" core?

Asked by: Barry B
You could add some type of insulation or packing to make up the difference.

Good morning I have a 68 Mustang without A/C I am installing an after market A/C unit. Am I able to use this Heater Core Brass And Copper?

Asked by: Rich007
If you are keeping the stock heater box and using a underdash a/c unit it will work.

does this heater core fit 1966 with a/c and what kit is needed to put it in

Asked by: dwad
This fits ALL 1966s. A/C makes no difference on 1965/1966 because it is an underdash unit that does not change the factory heater box.
