If the driver side lower cowl area in your vintage 1965-1968 Mustang is leaking water when you drive it through rain or wash it, then it's probably time to get a Driver Side Lower Cowl Repair Panel, like this one from CJ Pony Parts! This panel will weld into place after you cut out your old one.

This Driver Side Lower Cowl Repair Panel measures in at 15-1/2" x 18". It's specific to 1965-1966 Mustangs because of the mounting studs for the fresh air vent that will mount below it. The studs will fit the vent on 1965-1966 Mustangs but it won't fit 1967-1968 Mustangs unless you drill additional holes in the vent. You'll install this Driver Side Lower Cowl Repair Panel by first removing the upper cowl panel on the driver side and drilling out the spot welds. Then you'll weld this panel into place after cutting out the old one.

Please Note: If you have a 1967-1968 Mustang and don't wish to drill holes in the vent, please see CJ Pony Parts # COWL3. This is a one-piece lower cowl made for 1967-1968 Mustangs.

We're here with lower cowl patch panels for your '64 through '68 Mustang. The lower cowl area around the hat here is probably one of the most common places that early Mustangs rust out due to drain holes being blocked. These patch panels will weld in place in your lower cowl to repair the damage on your '64 through '68 Mustang. The panels come ready to weld in place with the bracket for your fresh air vent and a passenger side bracket pre-welded in place. If you're getting water in the floor of your '64 through '68 Mustang after washing it or when driving in the rain, there's a strong possibility that your cowl is leaking and these patch panels can be used to repair it.
