1989 Transmission

The transmission transfers the power from your engine to the driveshaft and applies that power to the rear axle to create motion. In other words, without the transmission, your 1989 Mustang won’t get very far.

A worn, slipping gearbox can rob your Fox of power by creating play and friction. Our factory 1989 Mustang transmission replacements will take care of the stock system, but if you're looking to turn your car into a racing build, you'll need to go aftermarket. Engine upgrades put extra stress on the factory 1989 Ford Mustang transmission, so you'll want to match these aftermarket parts with a performance transmission to enjoy the full range of your new modded application.

From the smallest modification to a complete replacement, we're stocked with everything you need to complete your drive train rebuild. We also offer shift levers, boots, and knobs to finish off the job with a custom look and feel.

Not the year you are looking for? Check out these years: 1979, 1980, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992, or 1993 for additional options.
