Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Poor Quality I purchased after reading reviews that had stated that the hinging mechanism broke off after little use. I overlooked that thinking maybe it was just bad luck or abuse. Upon installation my pedal bend ever so slightly off to one side after I installed the pivot screw. when I bent it back, it broke off. When I looked closer at it, the spot weld that holds this together was about an 1/8 inch.. TOO SMALL to handle the force of a person's foot stepping on the pedal regularly. So I had ended up removing all the old dried rubber from my old OEM pedal and applying the new rubber to it.. The OEM pedal is unmistakingly better quality. Funny enough to just change the spot weld would make this a good product. Quality control is such an important factor and this product lacks it. DO NOT BUY... waste of money unless you do what I did in just using the rubber part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke off while accelerating I bought this Accelerator Pedal a little less than 36 months ago. The other day it just broke off while pressing on it. The spot weld broke between the bracket and the pedal. I know it was almost 3 years later but it should have lasted a lot longer than that. The pedal looks good, but I would say the quality is poor. Good looks doesn't mean anything if the part breaks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke off while driving. I only had this part for about 2 months and don't drive my Mustang everyday and I look down and it was tilted more to the left and sure enough when driving it just broke off. So I had to drive it 10 miles back home with no pad on my gas pedal. Very disappointed since I buy most of my parts from CJ Pony Parts. Haven't bought anything since

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken two of these so far So far I've purchased two of these pedals. The first one broke after a few months occasional use. The single spot weld failed on the back of the pedal where it connects to the bracket. I bought another one of these pedals and the same thing happened. This is only a weekend driver so I am not puting any stress on the pedal. Very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Looking Pedal, Fits Perfect. I bought this Pedal along with a New Disc Brake Pedal, for my 64.5 Coupe....Both have Chrome Trim around the Outer Portion of the Pedals, which Adds a Nice Touch to Them and Nice Touch to the Interior.....Installing This Gas Pedal was Easy, as it Took Just a Couple of Mins....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Quality I bought the pedal along with the special screw, spring and retainer clip. Easy to install in a matter of a few minutes. Now that annoying loose floppy pedal is gone,, replaced with what looks like and works like the correct pedal as the car had when it was new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added sharpness to the interior My old pedal was really showing it's age in my newly restored 66 Mustang. This new pedal is made just like the original, it fit perfectly, and really added sharpness and new look to the interior. Only took minutes to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accelerator pedal with trim Really improves the look of the original accelerator pedal a little hard to put on because the tabs are a little stiff but, that is the only problem.

Couldn't find install instructions, could you give me an idea of difficulty to install please? Just have never done it, not sure what else I would need to order.  Thank

Asked by: Jemmerlynn
It simply installs with a pin and clip in a matter of moments. You might need HW255 if those parts aren't still good on your car.

Have a question, does a pin and clip come with the Accelerator pedal for the 66 mustang? Did not see one in the picture. Part # HW1215 Thanks you!

Asked by: davej3533
It does not. I believe you'd need HW255.
