The caliper shield is designed to mount right behind the brake rotor and keep dirt and other debris off of the rear side of the rotor. It also helps to prevent excessive amounts of cool water from splashing on the rotor while it is overheated which could cause the rotor to warp and lead to costly repairs. You will receive a pair (2) of caliper shields with your order. This will complete the front driver side and passenger side brake rotors of your classic Mustang!
