The CJ Classics Lower Cowl Panel with Weld-Thru Primer Finish is a full-length panel that reaches from the driver side cowl panel to the passenger side panel and connects at the firewall flange of your 1967-1968 Mustang. Made of heavy gauge stamped steel, this Lower Cowl Panel is also finished in a weld-thru primer to reduce spatter, prevent distortion, eliminate corrosion, and more!

This Lower Cowl Panel Assembly is designed to be a direct fit replacement finished in a weld-thru primer that protects the metal from corrosion or rusting while in transit while also reducing prep time. The weld-thru primer lowers the resistance at the weld surface to improve penetration into denser, new steel that helps forgive an old alloy's problems with porosity and impurities. This also prevents resin buildup between welds that often trap moisture in the old porous steel for failure down the road. Your lower cowl panel stays protected from high heat, spatter and corrosion thanks to the superior properties of weld-thru primer.
