The star of this kit is a 5/16" fuel tank sending unit which will make sure your fuel gauge is reading correctly, so you won't have to worry about getting stuck on the side of the road when you least expect it. Included is a 5/16" hose fitting and a new gasket that mounts to the fuel tank in your first generation Mustang. CJ Classics ensures a secure installation with the simple O-ring addition.

Four inches in length, the fuel filler pipe hose is manufactured of a fuel resistant rubber and connects the filler pipe to your fuel tank. This is the standard replacement that is used and is incredibly durable within your fuel system. A fuel filler pipe-to-body gasket is made of cork to protect the exterior paint and also prohibit fuel spills or water entering the trunk area from the filler tube.

This installation kit from CJ Classics also comes with the proper hardware that you will need including the mounting hardware for your fuel tank which has eleven cadmium plated sheet metal screws, one black oxide captive washer bolt and a 'U' nut. The other pieces of hardware are a set of special sheet metal screws that are used to attach the filler tube to your tail lamp panel.

Tech Tip: If you decide to install two gaskets on your filler pipe, it will be beneficial to move the gas cap away from the tail light panel. Doing this will help keep your gas cap from damaging your paint when it's twisted on and off your Mustang.
