CJ Classics Kick Down Lever for all 1965, 1966, 1967 and 1968 V6 Mustangs and for all 1967-1968 V8 Mustangs.
When you put your foot down, make sure your transmission downshifts like it should! This reproduction Kick Down Lever attaches the accelerator kick-down cable to the transmission of your Mustang.
Features and Benefits:
- Activates valve body to downshift transmission
- Connected to butterfly arm on carburetor via the kickdown cable, engaged by reaching sudden wide open throttle
- For installation in cars equipped with a C4 or C6 automatic transmission
- Restores original functionality when replacing a failed or aging component
This OE-spec kickdown replacement installs on the valve body's rectangular keyed stud. The stud is located on the driver side of the transmission casing and goes through the center of the neutral safety switch.
