CJ Classics Polyurethane Bushing Kit for 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1972 Mustangs with 1-7/16" Lower Control Arm.
Unlike solid rubber, Polyurethane rubber is made to be flexible with lubrication grooves that maintain durability. The CJ Classics Polyurethane Bushing Kit features lubricated grooves for smooth suspension in your 1967-1972 Mustang. Classic vehicles are susceptible to grind and the suspension bottoming out. Select the correct sway bar diameter fitment for direct-fit bushings and replacement shock tower bumpers.

*The Polyurethane transmission mount will not fit 4-speed Toploader Transmissions. It will fit a T-5 Transmission when doing a conversion.
*The Lower Control Arm Bushing Set does not include metal shells. These are designed to be pressed into existing bushing shells.
*The Strut Rod Bushing Set does not include sleeves or washers.
The lower control arms and shock tower bumpers can be responsible for a stiff, bumpier ride, which is why bushings and bumpers must be replaced to prevent bottoming out and improve rebound. The progressive compression rate prevents the upper control arm from colliding with the outer shock tower cover.
A leaf spring bushing can experience bind and a coil spring insulator can cause excessive vibration. The polyurethane construction deflects vibration and keeps excessive noise to a minimum. To prevent premature tearing, the coil spring insulator inner lip is taller and thicker to center the spring.
Stock motor mounts are made of solid rubber, and cannot dispel heat. Extreme heat and engine vibration are no match for polyurethane rubber motor mounts, which are developed to reduce vibration and handle high-horsepower applications.

Please Note: Some 1965-1966 Mustangs may have 9/16" rear shackle bolts, whereas most 1965-1966 Mustangs have 1/2" bolts. It is important to verify which size rear shackle bolts are in your Mustang before ordering.
Tech Tip: Measure the existing bushing to determine if there is a 1-7/16" version or 1-9/16" version control arm shell. This Bushing Kit does not include metal shells. These are designed to be pressed into the existing shells.
