COMP Cams Camshaft Set Xtreme Energy XE274H Hydraulic Flat Tappet 1800-6000 RPM 390/427/428

Available with camshaft only, camshaft and lifers, small kit or complete kit.

This hydraulic flat tappet camshaft will fit 1963-1976 Ford FE engines including 352, 360, 361, 390, 391, 406, 410, 427 and 428 cubic inches.

A best seller due to its excellent all-around performance in street applications. Increased responsiveness and more area under the curve are delivered due to quicker opening lobe profiles. More vacuum is created which allows a step up in duration for greater performance. COMP Cams roller rockers and matched valve springs work best with this camshaft. Other performance parts are required (intake manifold, headers, etc.) for best performance.

The Xtreme Energy XE274H works great in a high performance street car since it offers very strong mid-range power. A 2400+ stall converter is recommended as well as headers.
