*The cp-e Front Mount Intercooler will NOT fit the 2016-2018 Focus RS.
cp-e has developed one of the largest cores available on the market, 28” x 8.25" x 5.5”! This core uses the bar and plate design to help ensure a high level of efficiency.
The end tank design encloses the core while requiring no cutting, drilling or permanent modification to the vehicle. The cp-e front mount intercooler will mount in the stock location of the 2013-2018 ST while matching up to the stock intercooler piping thanks to laser cut brackets. Piping can be upgraded when the power demands require it, and modified in smaller increments.
The cp-e front mount intercooler includes cast end tanks, which are welded and pressure tested with the core. Hours of design and computer flow diagrams have been put into the tanks’ design to virtually eliminate turbulence. cp-e has minimized turbulence in order to keep the drivability of the car high, while still enlarging the intercooler drastically by designing a smaller end tank that has been designed to direct the air properly into the core for even cooling.
Order a cp-e front mount intercooler for your 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 or 2018 Focus ST from CJ Pony Parts today!

Kelly: This is our front mount inner cooler kit. We use the bar and plate design for maximum performance. We have an internal fin that divides the air evenly throughout the inner cooler. This is unique to our product. We went through the extra effort to make sure that we could give that option to our customers.
Bill: So that should do a great job with keeping the IET temperatures down and not getting heat soak that's common in a lot of other inner coolers.
Kelly: This was built directly for the Focus ST, so it's complete bolt on. No modifications are needed.
Bill: Okay, and this will work with your factory charge pipes. You don't have to use the after-market ones, or anything like that.
Kelly: Yes, exactly. We design all of our parts to fit OEM parts and other CPE products.
Bill: Okay. Like I mentioned, the charge pipe kit, you do offer one, but it is sold separately if do you do want to upgrade the charge pipes.
Kelly: Yes, that's correct.
Bill: Okay. Tell us about the cooler. This thing is obviously a monster compared to a stock inner cooler.
Kelly: Yes. This is actually the biggest core on the market right now.
Bill: You guys said this was built for the Focus. It's not like it was built for a different car and modified. This was built specifically for the Focus ST.
Kelly: Exactly. Yes. This was built for the Focus ST. Unlike a lot of our competitors, we didn't just use our Mazda Speed or another inner cooler core that we had. We got our Focus ST and designed it from there.
Bill: Okay. As far as installation goes, is there any changes that have to be made? Any drilling, cutting, welding, modifications? How's the install on this part.
Kelly: No. No modifications on this. It's complete bolt on.
Bill: Okay. The shutter system, I'm assuming with how thick that core is, that's going to have to go.
Kelly: Yes, the shutter system goes, but there's no drilling required.
Bill: Okay. And this will work with your stock turbo. I know you guys have a big turbo kit coming out, so this is designed to work with either/or.
Bill: So it's a one-time upgrade. It's not like when your down the road, when you turn the boost way up, you'll have to change inner cores out.
Kelly: Yes, exactly. This will work with that, too.
Bill: Okay. Do you guys have an inner cooler coming for the Fiesta ST at all, or just for the Focus right now?
Kelly: It's in the works, but we don't have a release date or anything on that.
Bill: Where are these products made at?
Kelly: These are made all in the USA.
Bill: Everything you guys make is made in the US. That's awesome.
Kelly: Yes. With a lifetime warranty on any manufactured part.
Bill: I've got to tell you, I love your hardware kits. The individually wrapped hardware makes installation so much easier.
Kelly: Oh, thank you. We try to make it as easy as possible for our customers. We offer a CNC machined nut sensor bracket for our overseas customers.
Bill: So one kit's good for both US or the European specs on this.
Kelly: Yes. Those come in every single kit that we sell.
Bill: Perfect. Well, cool. Thank you for bringing it out.
Kelly: Thank you.
